The original uncharted has been a huge hit. They have released only one other game since uncharted 2 and three other games in the series still to come. The graphics are beautiful, the story intriguing, and the voice acting is memorable. Uncharted 3 takes it to another level with amazing visuals, beautiful environments, and more than one plus ending. Uncharted 3 deserves the praise its getting for its many gameplay additions like new cover mechanics that keep players on their toes by always making every situation feel different every time they play through it. The multiplayer was greatly improved with Uncharted 2 but now standalone features like split screen co-op give players even more variety than before. The series has a reputation for being a bit more serious than the typical shooter but Uncharted 3 is an all-round big hitter, and one of the best games released so far this generation. The Good: Great gameplay, great graphics, great storyline. The Bad: The multiplayer is not as good as the single player. No online co-op multiplayer although some people got around this by creating their own servers. Uncharted 3 has been awarded the Best Soundtrack of 2009 from IGN and was voted as Game of the Year from Game Informer Magazine on December 17th 2009. Critic reviews were generally positive and applauded the action and graphics, while criticism was directed at the story. Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception holds a metacritic score of 91 based on 56 reviews. The game also received a 9.1/10 from IGN, making Uncharted 3 to date the highest rated game in the series by them. Game Informer gave it an overall score of 92 out of 100, while both Official Xbox Magazine and Eurogamer gave it 8 out of 10. PC Gamer ranked it at #7 on their list of top PC games of 2011. As of March 2013, Drakes Deception has sold over 6 million copies worldwide, making it the best selling game of the series. As of May 31, 2011 it has shipped over 3 million copies in North America alone.
