Jeepers Creepers 3 is a horror film released in 2008, directed by Victor Salva and produced by his son Joshua Salva. This movie is the third installment of the Jeepers Creepers film series that was released to theaters on March 27th 2008. It was rated "R" for violence, language and some sexuality/nudity. The screenwriters were Scott Kosar and Eric Heisserer respectively. The score for this movie from Skrillex from his album My Name Is Skrillex was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2010 for "Best Dance Recording". Although the song was not featured in the film, it was featured on the official soundtrack and included as part of the official score. Jeepers Creepers 3 is a movie that is set in and around a small town called Nugget. The story follows a group of three high school students: siblings, Kate and Tom Hanniger (Sophie Monk and Jonathan Walker) along with their friend Noah Flynn (Justin Long). On homecoming night at their local high school, they are headed back to their house when Kate crashes her jeep into a group of scarecrows. They realize that they weren't scarecrows but recently dead people hanging from trees. The group is then chased by a man with a disfigured face and spiked metal with retractable wings along with another monster that has the ability to traverse from body to body when its current host dies. Kate, Tom and Noah go on a search for a gun which they can use to defend themselves from the monsters. This movie essentially follows the same premise as the first two Jeepers Creepers movies, with this installment following a new set of characters in a different location. This movie has been referred to as "Jeepers Creepers 3:1/2" by fans. "Jeepers Creepers 3" was released on DVD by Anchor Bay Entertainment on October 6th 2008. It was released on Blu-ray format on April 6th 2012. The film's soundtrack titled "Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" was released on September 9th, 2008. It contains songs that are featured in this film. The movie holds a rating of 23% at Rotten Tomatoes based off of 32 reviews with the consensus stating: ""Jeepers Creepers 3" has a few jump scares, but they aren't enough to make up for its nonsensical story and jarring narrative changes. It's hard to get past the poor acting, either." Another review aggregating site, Metacritic has given this film a weighted average score of 33 out of 100. Richard Roeper gave this film a positive review stating that "Jeepers Creepers 3" is "a damn good time at the movies" and that it "isn't subtle, but it knows how to leave an audience shaken".
